The talisman was on target last night in Arsenal's 2-1 Europa League at Rapid Vienna.
He is joined in Patrice Neveu's 23-man by Fulham midfielder, Mario Lémina, who also missed the match against Benin.
Experienced defender and assistant captain, Bruno Ecuélé Manga, retains his place alongside former Sunderland defensive midfielder Didier Ndong.
The Panthers will host the first leg on 12 November at the Stade de Franceville before Scorpions return the favours four days later at the Independence Stadium.
Both sides have four points each from their opening two matches and positive results will boost their chances of a place in Cameroon.
Gambia coach Tom Saintfiet is scheduled to release his squad on Monday 26 November.
